♥ For yesterday's memories, today's love & tomorrow's dreams, I love you.

I stumped upon a multiply site and found this piece of information for future brides and grooms. and! to be honest, the information given to be VERY interesting and useful. It was actually written in Malay, but I have translated it just so the readers of other races would also be able to read and better understand the Malay custom. Without dragging it any longer, I shall present to you the post(:

"First
, before the bride walked into the marriage life, there are variety taboos. Old folks are so concerned about these taboos, such as for the benefit of prospective brides and grooms. It is not a duty but a word of Malay culture. Although the bride and groom now no longer look and practices the taboo, , some are really deemed appropriate and should be followed.


1. Do not
go out with the couple for 40 days before the ceremony, people concerned about accusations. In addition, it seeks to control appetite and feeling nostalgic. In this way makes the bride look more radiant.
2. Do not go out as and when they like, to prevent getting cursed by those who have bad intentions.
3. A few months before the wedding, do not eat rice with gravy dish to prevent the distended stomach.
4. Avoid eating the smelly mistress like petai.
5. Do not stare into the mirror, especially after dusk to avoid the magic.
6. Do not empty the bowel and urinate simultaneously in the water because it will weaken the sex organs.
7. Avoid drinking carbonated water because it causes diabetes.
8. Avoid the bathroom at night as it is bad for body joints.
9. According to some customs, future brides and grooms would need to eat only once a day.
10. For the prospective groom, avoid wearing tight underwear at night and sleeping on the stomach as it is not good for the sex organ.
11. Do not eat too much seafood as it contains toxic.
12. Three months before getting married, go for massages so that brides and grooms have the energy.
13. Eat chicken eggs mixed with honey and black pepper once a week to add energy.
14. Drink ginger to expel air.
15. Do not indulge sex in his own way.
16. Sleep at least seven or eight hours a day.
17. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking.
18. Avoid sunlight for fear of black skin and glowing at the wedding.
19. Do not drink soy because it is cold and is not good for the genitals.
20. Adopt a traditional medicinal food(jamu) as to prevent disappointment on the wedding night.
21. Do not show the bride to the family of a man before marriage.
22. Do not go out at night to avoid bad elements.
23. Avoid cutting of hair a week before the wedding.
24. Advisable to not live together yet if the marriage is at a 'nikah gantung' state.
25. Do not clear the wedding room as to avoid others betraying the couple.
26. Mind the language as to prevent hurting other peoples feelings.
27. Do not thread or pluck the eyebrows; as it minimizes the radiance on the dais.
28. Do not look at the mirror when being make-up
as it minimizes the radiance on the dais.
29. Bride and groom are forbidden to speak while sitting on the dais as it is seen as less sweet.
30.Do not leave home without a destination or intention as to prevent any accident.
